We possess not purchased yet..,we were contacted very promptly and we are absolutely thrilled with the agent we are working with. We’re moving from Ohio to the Bay Area and we feel supported and cared for by someone in our community. We had started working with an agent that came highly recommended from a friend (neither the buddy or agent are queer) and we just weren’t feeling seen and understood. We could not be more relieved and are full of hope that this move is not only possible for us, but going to occur with, well, quite frankly the take no crap, get-sh*t-done energy of an old dyke. Adult LGBT Population in the United States

This report provides estimates of the number and percent of the U.S. adult population that identifies as LGBT, overall, as well as by age. Estimates of LGBT adults at the national, state, and regional levels are included. We rely on BRFSS data for these estimates. Pooling multiple years of data provides more stable estimates—particularly at the state level.

Combining BRFSS data, we estimate that % of U.S. adults identify as LGBT. Further, we estimate that there are almost million (13,,) LGBT adults in the U.S.

Massive Study Finds No Single Genetic Lead to of Same-Sex Sexual Behavior

Few aspects of human biology are as complex—or politically fraught—as sexual orientation. A clear genetic link would recommend that gay people are “born this way,” as opposed to having made a lifestyle selection. Yet some dread that such a finding could be misused to “cure” homosexuality, and most research teams possess shied away from tackling the topic.

Now a new investigation claims to dispel the notion that a single gene or handful of genes make a person prone to same-sex behavior. The analysis, which examined the genomes of nearly half a million men and women, found that although genetics are certainly involved in who people pick to have sex with, there are no specific genetic predictors. Yet some researchers question whether the analysis, which looked at genes associated with sexual activity rather than attraction, can pull any real conclusions about sexual orientation.

“The message should persist the same that this is a complex behavior that genetics definitely plays a par

Estimates as to the number of gay people in the population range from 1-in to 1-in, so why are some people gay? Are they lgbtq+ by choice or is existence gay genetic?

The simplest answer is to look at the definition of the word "gay." The term gay is a synonym for homosexual, which is defined as,1,2

"Of, pertaining to, or demonstrating sexual desire or behavior directed toward a person or persons of one's own sex."

In other words, % of people encounter same-sex sexual attraction or behavior; of course, this doesn't pronounce to what makes people homosexual. No one knows for certain why any individual is queer, but the current thought is that being gay is not a choice. (read: Cure the Gay: Gay Conversion Therapy – Real or Hoax?) The reasons people are gay are both physiological and psychological.

Why Are People Gay? – Physiology

Modern science is working to show that genetics is one of the causes of being gay, although some science conflicts in this area. According to Psychology Today,3
