Gay bars arkansas

Greggor Mattson

Northwest Arkansas contains all the contrasts and contradictions of other small capital gay bars, isolated from gay neighborhoods but close to American landmarks. Fort Smith and Fayetteville are one hour apart, but their two gay clubs are entwined by more than their relative proximity in northwest Arkansas, residence of Walmart&#;s international headquarters and the tiny, gay-friendly Eureka Springs.

Sam Walton&#;s first store is now a museum to his entrepreneurial genius in a small town that is cuter than any of the ones destroyed by big-box stores.

The Crystal Bridges Museum, built by Alice Walton, is a world-class museum of American Art in Bentonville, AR.

We spent Self-rule Day in Fort Smith, with its revitalized brick downtown that celebrates both its frontier heritage on the border of Indian Area and contemporary art through a series of spectacular murals. The official urban area visitor&#;s center is in a restored brothel by the railroad tracks, Yearn Laura&#;s. Fort Smith’s Kinkead’s is the skinniest bar we’ve seen, a shotgun affair 12 fe

Maxine&#;s Tap Room

They&#;re consistently ranked as one of the best bars in the country, their drinks are stout, balanced, and fashioned with fresh ingredients, and they&#;re one of the LGBTQ community&#;s largest supporters! Since , when Maxine Miller, as a free woman, borrowed money from her parents to unlock a bar, no one could have guessed the longevity of this Fayetteville staple. As a shrewd businesswoman and beloved personality, she was present every day from open to close. She played a mean game of dominoes, required proper behavior at all times in her establishment, and was most famous for her last call: “May I acquire your attention, please! You have ten minutes to drink, and get the hell out!” Maxine&#;s was remodeled in as a cocktail lounge when Hannah Withers and Ben Gitchel became the co-owners and caretakers of this downtown institution. Maxine&#;s has been ranked twice as one of the top 10 bars in the nation, and are annually an NWA Pride top tier sponsor.

Raduno

When it comes to pizza, it's tough to beat this South Main Street staple. Raduno is where locals head for Italian-inspired fare that ranges from mouthwatering sandwiches to decadent, handmade pasta (seriously, we can't get enough of the fettuccine alfredo). Chef Cash Ashley is the one primary the kitchen, and his best-in-town cinnamon rolls are a unique (but incredible) brunch treat. To top it off, the ever-changing beer and cocktails menus are just as good as the food.

El Sur Street Food Co.

If you're unsure of precisely what Honduran cuisine is, the husband and husband team of Luis Vasquez and Darren Strayhorn of the El Sur diet truck are here to enlighten you. Locals love it for its flavorful baleadas (trust us, get them con todo) and arepas. Be sure to review their social media feeds for their day-to-day locations and utter "hello" to your new favorite farm-to-table food truck

The Pizzeria

In Little Rock, each part of town has its go-to pizza spot, and in the quaint Heights neighborhood, that
